Become A Citizen Of The World

85% of Centre students study abroad at least once, making us a top-three school in the nation.

Our faculty go abroad too, allowing them to live on site with you, share their knowledge of the region, and plan trips and activities.

Spend a semester in one of nine countries:

Japanese flagJapan Mexican flagMexico French flagFrance
Northern Ireland's flagNorthern Ireland Spanish flagSpainGerman flagGermany

Spend shorter terms across the globe, with trips to nearly every continent during winter and summer terms. Previous trips include primate study in Barbados, religion and politics in India, sacred arts in Bali, political history in Vietnam, post-revolutionary life in Nicaragua, anthropology in Peru, politics and civil society in Cameroon, and volcanoes in New Zealand.

The cost of studying abroad is virtually the same as studying in Danville. All financial aid and scholarships remain in place during your time abroad; all you pay is a $375 deposit/surcharge and your airfare.

Students are only able to study abroad through a Centre semester-long program once, but they are able to spend up to three CentreTerms abroad and may participate in as many summer abroad programs as they wish.

Apply online for a 2017-2018 abroad semester program by February 15, 2017. Visit https://aegis.centre.edu/fmi/webd/#StudyAbroadApp to apply. For CentreTerm 2018 or summer 2017 abroad programs, simply contact the faculty director to apply.
