Office of Advising
The Office of Advising is primarily responsible for:
- ADA Compliance.
- Selecting all faculty and administrative staff who serve as academic advisors.
- Recruitment and training of peer counselors who serve as aides to academic advising.
- Administering the major declaration process for sophomores.
- Managing, with the assistance of the Registrar and the Associate Dean, the program of early identification of students having academic difficulties.
- Conducting individual and group counseling of students on academic probation.
- Co-chairing the College's New Student Orientation program.
- Conducting proficiency and placement testing of new students and coordinating the assessments by language and mathematics faculty.
