The Assoicate Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations (AD-CFR) would be pleased to help you throughout the grant process, from brainstorming to submitting the final draft. Please note: the earlier she is involved in the process, the better she'll be able to assist you!

  • Contact the AD-CFR
    • The AD-CFR can assist you in organizing and coordinating your efforts. Please contact her at any stage of the process.
    • Even if you do not want assistance, it is still important to alert the AD-CFR of your plans to submit a proposal. Such a notification will allow Centre to coordinate all its fundraising efforts. A single funding agency should not be targeted for multiple initiatives without clearance from the Development Office.
  • Obtain approval from the Institutional Review Board if your study involves human subjects. Obtain approval from the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (contact Brian Cusato) if your study involves laboratory animals.
  •

  • Complete the Centre College Sponsored Research Routing Form. This form must be completed and submitted to the AD-CFR before your proposal is submitted to the sposnoring agency. Please allow yourself at least two weeks prior to the submission date to complete this form.
  •

  • Provide copies of all the submitted documents to the AD-CFR.
  •

  • Alert the AD-CFR when you have been notified of the results and provide her with a copy of the decision documentation.
  •

For assistance at any stage in the grants process, please contact Kathryn M. Bowles, Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, at kathryn.bowles@centre.edu, phone ext. 5212, or visit her office on the second floor of Old Centre.
