Residence Life and Housing Staff
The Residence Life Office is part of the Student Life Office and are here to help you with your questions and concerns about residence life and housing on campus.
Cody, a Louisville, KY native, joined Centre College’s Student Life Office in August of 2017. He graduated from Centre in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Cody helps support and supervise the resident assistants and residence directors on campus and works closely with Housing and Facilities Management to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students across campus. Cody previously served the Student Life Office as Coordinator for Residence Life and Housing during the 2014-2015 academic year after graduating.
Brian joined the Student Life staff in July of 2017 as the Director of Residence Life. He received his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C., and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
Prior to Centre, Brian worked as a community director at his alma mater, Guilford College, and more recently as the assistant director of residential life at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. Brian helps support the mission of the office through overseeing educational initiatives within the residence halls, and helps coordinate resident assistant and resident director recruitment, training, and supervision.
Margaret, a native of Saint Cloud, MN, joined the Student Life Office as the Coordinator for Residence Life & Housing in July 2016. She is a 2016 graduate of Centre College with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Politics. In this role, she works with the Resident Assistants (RAs), evaluates the residence hall programming, aids with housing, and advises the Residence Assistant Advisory Board. While at Centre, Margaret was an RA, served on the Student Judiciary, was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, acted in the Rho Gamma role for two years, served as a research assistant for the Politics department, and studied abroad in Morocco, Guatemala, England, and Macedonia.
A 30-year veteran of the Student Life staff, Ann, a Danville native, has worked in student activities, housing, and volunteer service during her tenure at Centre. She has a bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. Ann coordinates all the housing of students on campus in the residence halls and special housing.

The mission of the Residence Life Office is to enhance the academic experience and to encourage an inclusive, safe, healthy, and supportive living environment for all Centre College students. We work to accomplish this by facilitating programs aimed at developing responsible decision making skills, creating a strong sense of community, and fostering respect for self and others in a diverse, global society. The Residence Life Office believes in empowering students to accept personal responsibility and to realize the leadership potential in everyone.
