Residence Life

Residence Directors and Assistants make Centre a “home away from home” for students… FULL STORY

Residence Life at Centre encourages the academic, cultural, and social growth of students by sponsoring programs and entertainment events, late-night study sessions, pizza parties, and more in the residence halls.

Living on Campus

Ninety-eight percent of Centre students live on campus. Living on campus can be the highlight of the college experience. Students, faculty, staff and even the President help students move-in. Centre offers a variety of housing options.

Resident Assistant and Residence Directors are available for each residence. The Residence Life Office facilitates programs aimed at developing responsible decision- making skills, creating a strong sense of community, and fostering respect for self and others in a diverse, global society.

Resident Assistants and Residence Directors

Resident Assistants (RAs) are current sophomores, juniors, or seniors and members of the Residence Life staff. Each hall/building has at least one RA while some larger halls/buildings may have two RAs. Residence Directors (RDs) are members of the Residence Life staff who have been an RA for at least one year and provide supervision of RAs and buildings/areas on campus. Centre RAs serve primarily as peer counselors and are prepared to talk with students regarding a variety of topics and/or concerns, both socially and academically. Current Centre students who are interested in becoming an RA should log into CentreNet and click on the “Apply to be an RA” link found under the Campus Life tab. Any other questions regarding the RA role on Centre’s campus should be directed to the Director of Residence Life.
