Sutcliffe Athletic Center

The renovation and expansion of Sutcliffe resulted in a modern 122,000-square-
foot fitness, recreation, and athletic facility with 62,700 square feet of new construction
and 59,300 square feet of renovated space. In addition to providing a thoroughly
contemporary look to a building that traces its origins to 1915, the new Sutcliffe
makes Centre a leader in wellness and recreation offerings. It provides Centre
students with a remarkable facility for their social and physical growth and wellness
activities. Highlights of the Sutcliffe renovation and expansion include:

• Three-court multipurpose recreational gym

 • Renovated Alumni Gymnasium

• Renovated Bowman Gymnasium

• Elevated three-lane jogging track

• New spectator seating

• New Athletic Hall of Fame Cafe

• Cardiovascular exercise deck

• Exercise/aerobics classroom

• Buck Fitness Centre

• Two new glass racquetball courts
