9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Glasswork Exhibit.
AEGON Gallery in the Jones Visual Arts Center will exhibit glasswork by Matthew Cummings ‘05. Open to the public at no charge.

9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Centre Bookstore.
No trip to Centre is complete without a visit to the Bookstore, located downtown in the former Hub building – at the corner of Main and Third Streets. Enjoy coffee and snacks in the Hub Café, located right next door.

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Community Arts Center.
Located at 401 West Main Street. Free admission. Two exhibits on display: In the Grand Hall, Lexington-based Swedish artist Helene Steene's Collection, "My Asklepion", and upstairs local artist Paul Muth's "New Work". The Gift Shop is also open, and has unique gifts for children and adults.

11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Great American Dollhouse Museum.
Located at 344 Swope drive (just behind the Centre soccer field off Lexington Avenue). Free admission for Centre families. The Great American Dollhouse Museum is a unique educational facility that exhibits American history in miniature. The 6,000 square foot museum contains over 200 dollhouses and thousands of related miniatures, presented in remarkable detail. The Kentucky tourism cabinet honored the museum by designating it one of Kentucky’s 44 "only ones," meaning that it is a site that is globally unique. The Gift Shop features a large selection of miniatures. (Several Centre faculty, staff, and Centre spouses are the creators of the museum).

Noon - 5 p.m. Registration.
Parents please sign-in downstairs in the Old Centre lobby. You may pick up free football tickets here as well as other tickets and information. Check-in to get an updated schedule!

Debate Merchandise Debate merchandise.
Don’t forget to pick up your 2012 Vice Presidential Debate souvenir during registration! All debate merchandise will be for sale at registration, including t-shirts, hats, tumblers, tote bags, buttons, and lots more! Order forms will also be available.

Noon - 5 p.m. Appointments with faculty and advisors.
Faculty and/or advisor appointments are a traditional part of Family Weekend and give you the opportunity to meet members of the faculty and administration. We ask that you arrange these appointments in advance through your student.

5 - 7 p.m. Dining at Campus Center.
Enjoy dinner in Cowan with your student. No reservations necessary; pay at the door.

8 p.m. After Orpheus, Weisiger Theatre.
Death, the chained beast, waiting for us, we must all face it, but by choice? Love makes the world go round. Love is in the air. Love is all you need. But would you die for love? You won’t want to miss this new play written by the cast of 13 Centre students which premiered at the 2012 Edinburgh International Fringe Festival (and whatever you do - don’t look back). Tickets may be ordered by calling the Norton Center Box Office at (859) 236-4692. Tickets will not be mailed out until two weeks before the play.

9:30 - 10:30 p.m. Jonny Zavant, Vahlkamp Theatre.
You've heard you only use 10 percent of your brain, and mentalist Jonny Zavant's live show is designed to show you where the other 90 percent went! Audience members become the stars of the show as he reveals thoughts only known to the people thinking them, tempts fate with three stun guns, and even lets you read his mind. Enjoy a night of fun and hilarity with your family! No admission is charged for this event, which is sponsored by the Student Activities Council.

Richard Trollinger, Vice President for College Relations, and Clarence Wyatt, Pottinger Professor of History, Chief Planning Officer, and Special Assistant to the President, share a behind-the-scenes update on the Vice Presidential Debate preparations.

Launching your Centre senior, Crounse 301.
Join us for a presentation by Deb Jones, Director of Career Services, and Meredith Sizemore, Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, for their best advice to Centre parents about the Centre senior year. Learn practical tips about helping your student prepare for job searches, explore graduate schools, learn interview and resume skills, and get to know resources available to them through the college. A crash course in things that our seniors need to do and not do to be ready to launch into the world beyond college!

Family Weekend 10 a.m. Tri-delt Silent Auction in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Located outside of the football game beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the end of the game. You don't want to miss out - there will UK basketball tickets, a week in Watercolor, Florida, a weekend in Breckinridge, Colorado and much more!

10:45 a.m. Tour of Campus, Old Centre (first floor).
The Admission Office is hosting tours of the campus for any interested siblings and friends. The tours are led by Centre students. Please make a reservation for the tour by calling 800-423-6236 no later than Monday, Sept. 13th.

11 a.m. Centre Showcase. Presbyterian Church (corner of Main Street and Fifth Streets).
A popular tradition during Family Weekend – the Centre Choral and Instrumental Ensembles will perform under the direction of the music faculty. You won’t want to miss hearing our talented students as they perform a variety of challenging and entertaining musical pieces. No charge.

Career Services, Old Carnegie, first floor. Career Services is pleased to offer an open house for the families of our students! Parents and other family members are invited to stop by Career Services in Old Carnegie to see our facilities, meet the staff, and enjoy refreshments.

11:30 - 12:30 p.m. Presentation: John Marshall Harlan Men of Principle Scholarship. Evans-Lively Room, Old Carnegie (second floor).
Epsilon Colony of the Fraternity Beta Theta Pi invites parents to its annual fraternity awards ceremony for the presentation of the John Marshall Harlan Men of Principle Scholarship to one male who is not a part of the Greek system (normally this individual is a first-year). The event will include the opportunity for parents to stop by and learn more about the fraternity, to hear an update on the Vice Presidential Debate from SGA president Patrick Cho, and of course, to see the presentation of the scholarship.

1 p.m. Field Hockey Game. Centre vs. Transylvania.

1:30 p.m. Fooball Game. Centre vs. Millsaps. No charge to Centre families; pick up your tickets at Registration.

4:30 - 6 p.m. Centretainment, Vahlkamp Theatre (inside Crounse Hall). Kentucky Ensemble.
Under the direction of Nathan Link, Centre Assistant Professor of Music, Centre students in Kentucky Ensemble will entertain with a collection of fine folk and traditional tunes, as well as some unexpected melodies. This ensemble promises a truly unique and wonderful listening experience that you won’t want to miss!

5 - 8 p.m. Oktoberfest, downtown Danville.
Enjoy a special Oktoberfest event in downtown Danville! Most of the event will be on Main Street between Third and Fourth Streets. Be aware that parts of Main Street will be blocked off during the festivities. Enjoy beer-tasting, good food, fun activities, and visit Danville’s fine stores and restaurants! General information: No guest parking passes are required for Family Weekend. Parents may park in all student and faculty/staff lots (additional parking is also available in the Danville city parking garage, located on the corner of Walnut and Third Streets).
