& Student Move-in Dates
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
The following dates and times are for orientation sessions for parents of all first-year students. Parents of athletes will have orientation on their move-in dates. All other parents can attend the session either the night before move-in or the day of move-in.
All parents are welcome to attend any of the orientation sessions. ALL PARENT ORIENTATION SESSIONS WILL BE IN THE VAHLKAMP THEATRE (located in the basement of the library) except for the session on Wednesday, August 24, which is in Newlin Hall of the Norton Center.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A PARENT HANDBOOK AT THE ORIENTATION which will have all the information you could possibly ever need to know about Centre!
Check-in time for student athletes and Bonner Scholars is 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Ewen Room on the second floor of the Campus Center. Check-in time for all other first-year students on August 24 is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Ewen Room on the second floor of the Campus Center.

Monday, August 15: Men's Soccer Parents
1:00-3:00 p.m. Vahlkamp Theatre in the basement of Crounse library
Wednesday, August 17: Bonner Scholar Parents
1:00-3:00 p.m. Vahlkamp Theatre in the basement of Crounse library
Friday, August 19: Volleyball, Cross Country, and Field Hockey Parents
1:00-3:00 p.m. Vahlkamp Theatre in the basement of Crounse library
Tuesday, August 23: First-year parents who are in town
7:00-7:30 p.m. Friendly Faces: Services Fair
Most offices of the College will be present to answer questions.

7:30-9:00 p.m. Parent Orientation - Introduction to various staff members and advice on how to help your student succeed at Centre.

NOTE: The Tuesday session will go into a bit more detail than the Wednesday move-in day session simply because time permits, and Wednesday will not include the Services Fair, but all campus offices are open if you need to meet with someone. Parents who are in town Tuesday night are encouraged to attend the evening session. For parents who are not able to be here Tuesday night, the session below on Wednesday will cover some of the same subjects but will be briefer. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO ATTEND BOTH ORIENTATIONS.
Wednesday, August 24: Move-In Day Parent Orientation
3:15-4:45 p.m. Norton Center for the Arts. For all parents of first-years who did not attend the Tuesday night session or an athlete move-in session. Several staff members will be introduced at this orientation so that you become familiar with various offices and who to call to get your questions answered; also includes advice on how to help your student succeed at Centre.
FAREWELL TIME!!!
There is a scheduled time for FAMILY GOODBYES on move-in day, Wednesday, August 24th. 4:45-5:45 p.m. is time to spend saying goodbye and then getting on the road for your trip back home. Your student will be extremely busy that evening - meeting with their orientation assistants (OAs), having dinner with their OAs, attending a hall meeting after dinner, and then enjoying some evening entertainment from the Student Activities Council. We'll keep them so busy over the next few days that they won't have time to get homesick!
