“Diving in the Pool” is an art exhibit by Kensuke Yamada, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art. Kensuke is a nationally recognized sculptor whose figurative works explore ideas of communication – both personal and universal. He uses gestures, textures, and patterns to relate simple, yet meaningful body language and facial expressions, all the while creating a rhythm that brings his figures to life. Yamada earned a B.A. in studio art from The Evergreen State College, and an M.F.A. in studio art from The University of Montana.

How the Apostle Paul Has Influenced All We Think About Everything
James Tabor (Ph.D., U. of Chicago), Professor of Religion at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, is a New Testament scholar well-known for his work on the Apostle Paul and the historical Jesus. He offers cutting-edge research on the quest for the historical Jesus. Tabor has appeared in a number of TV documentaries about the historical Jesus and is well-published. His talk will include his much discussed works, The Jesus Dynasty: The Hidden History of Jesus, His Royal Family, and the Birth of Christianity, and The Jesus Discovery: The New Archaeological Find That Reveals the Birth of Christianity (with Simcha Jacobovici).
