This program will provide a background of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s prodigy older sister, Nannerl. Sylvia Milo, the actress and creator of the play, and Nathan Davis, the composer, will lead a discussion on the research behind creating this one-woman tour-de-force play and what they learned along the way. It integrates traditional and new music, storytelling through Nannerl’s letters, a striking costume/set, and her personal human condition.

Nannerl: A Representative of Women in Art in Early Modern Europe
Sylvia Milo and Nathan Davis, the actress and creator of The Other Mozart, will engage with the students from Centre’s “Women and Art in Early Modern Europe” class and any other related class, group, or individual that is interested in participating. This discussion will also include discrepancies in gender equality, past and present.
