Emily Cranford came to Centre in 2013 as visiting instructor of French and humanities.
Her scholarly interests include early modern French literature, French and Francophone women writers, early modern gender wars, travel literature, masculinity studies, and gender and queer theory.
Cranford received a B.A. in French, English, and women's studies from Wake Forest University. She received an M.A., and is a Ph.D. candidate for romance languages and literatures (French and Francophone studies) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
