Theresa Dudeck joined Centre's faculty in 2012 as visiting assistant professor of dramatic arts.

Dudeck's research and teaching interests include applied theatre/improvisation, directing/acting/voice theory and training, musical theatre, early American popular entertainment, eco-drama, theatre for social change, and twentieth-century British theatre.

Before graduate school, Dudeck performed professionally as a singer, dancer, and actress. She also co-founded and directed a youth theatre company in Manhattan Beach, California.

Her book—Keith Johnstone: In Search of the Ideal Classroom—is forthcoming (Methuen Drama [London], 2013). It is the first critical biography on this pioneer of improvisational theatre. And her essay "Keith Johnstone's Circle of Probability" will appear in the March 2013 issue of Theatre Topics.

Dudeck has a B.A. in theatre from University of Alabama at Birmingham; an M.A. in Theatre from California State University at Northridge; and a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts from University of Oregon.
