Julie James is an instructor of Spanish and French. She holds a master's degree from George Mason University in foreign languages. She teaches all levels of Spanish and beginning French.
James has 10 years of experience teaching Spanish and French at various universities in Virginia and Kentucky. She has published an article for the Centennial Celebration of Jorege Luis Borges entitled “1964 or 1974: Which is the other” in a Danish journal entitled Variaciones Borges. She also co-directed the study abroad program in Strasbourg, France 2003-04.
James is currently working to bring a summer immersion academy in French to Centre College for a select group of the nation’s best high school students in French. Her interests are 20th-century Latin America and Caribbean literature, immigration and identity issues.
