Sebastian Reyes came to Centre in 2011 as assistant professor of Spanish.
His most recent research involves the colonization of gender and sexuality during the colonial period in South America, with a focus on the Andes region, as it relates to chronicles of conquest and its myths of the supernatural as well as texts such as sermons and bilingual handbooks of penances.
Reyes has a Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese languages and literature from New York University.
