Daniel Scott came to Centre in 2012 as visiting assistant professor of chemistry.
Before coming to Centre, Scott was visiting assistant professor of chemistry at Georgetown College and a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy as part of the Cancer Nanotechnology Training Center. He also served as a research mentor in the department of chemistry at the University of Kentucky. His doctoral dissertation was titled, "Development of Luminescent Sensing Systems with Clinical Applications" and his research interests include the interface between chemistry, biology, and nanotechnology in an effort to develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic systems.
Scott has a B.S. in chemistry from Georgetown College, and a Ph.D. in bioanalytical chemistry from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a graduate certicate in bioactive interfaces and devices.
