Reserve Officers’ Training Corps - ROTC

Centre students are competitive for all available Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships offered by the United States Army and Air Force. Centre offers full room and board incentives to ROTC scholarship winners, on top of the tuition funding students receive from the military.

Typically, a student receiving this scholarship will be enrolled as a full time student at Centre but will participate in the reserve officers training programs of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force through a partnership with the University of Kentucky. Army (AMS courses) ROTC and Air Force (AES courses) ROTC students receive academic credit toward their Centre degree.

Air Force ROTC Scholarship

The scholarship covers tuition, room and board, an annual textbook allowance, most lab fees and up to $500 spending cash per academic month. The application deadline for high school students is December 1 of a high school student's senior year.

Army ROTC Scholarship

The scholarship consists of full-tuition scholarships, additional allowances for books and fees, room and board, and monthly living allowances for each school year. Students earn certain amounts depending on their level in the Army ROTC curriculum.
