Optional Practice Rounds
Tee-Times: 10.00am - Noon & Noon – 2.00pm
Practice Round cost is $50 to be paid at the Danville Country Club by credit card only. Cost includes cart.
Saturday, May 19
Lunch & Registration – Noon – 1.30pm
Lunch will be served for all participants and guests. Registration, mulligan and raffle ticket purchase, distribution of tee prizes, and the annual group photo will all take place prior to the tournament round.
Tournament – 2.00pm
A shotgun start will kick off the tournament.
Dinner & Awards Ceremony – 6.30pm
Awards will be given to individual winners and presented by the man of honor himself, Herb McGuire.
Exciting New Tournament Format
This year's tournament format will include both the Traditional Individual Stroke Play for the "medal" champion and full handicap play for the "net" winners and a Four Man Scramble with gross and net (with a handicap index) prizes. Each player will need to declare which format they will play in, which can be changed up until registration the day of the PCI. The Individual Format ensures that players of all ability levels can compete for both gross and net prizes while the Scramble Format affords the teams to mix and match ability levels with handicap indexes. Low gross and low net winners will be awarded in both formats (champion and runner-up), as well as Longest Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin, Straightest Drive, and Longest Putt.
PCI Tournament Rates
Two rates will be assessed at the 35th Annual Herb McGuire PCI. The Regular rate of $300 applies to those alumni and friends over 30 years of age. A Junior rate of $200 will apply to those 30 years of age and younger. Early registration discounts of $25 will apply to everyone registered prior to April 15, 2012.
Junior Rate - $200 ($75 is tax-deductible)
Early registration discount by April 15 - $175 ($50 is tax-deductible)
Regular Rate - $300 ($175 is tax-deductible)
Early registration discount by April 15 - $275 ($150 is tax-deductible)
PCI Sponsorship Opportunities
Corporate Sponsors - Corporate sponsorships are annual commitments of $5,000 to the Centre College Praying Colonels Fund. Donations are used to complement the annual budget of all 21 intercollegiate sports supported by Centre. Student-athletes benefit directly from these funds with additional training, travel, and game equipment, as well as capital project supplements. Corporate Sponsors receive free advertising signage at all Centre sports venues and complimentary spots in the PCI field each year.
Hole Sponsors - Hole sponsorships are a great option for those who cannot commit to being Corporate Partners, but who still want to make a significant contribution to the Praying Colonels Fund. Hole sponsorships are available for $1,000 annually. Sponsors receive free advertising space via a tee- or green-sign and complimentary spots in the PCI field each year.
Individual Gifts - If you cannot or do not wish to become a Corporate or Hole sponsor, you can still give to the Praying Colonels Fund in any amount at any time of the year. Gifts are tax-deductible and can be earmarked for the general fund or designated for a specific sport.
