Charles W. Caldwell, Jr.

Charles graduated from Centre in 1930 with a degree in mathematics and went on to earn his medical degree from Harvard University in 1935. He spent his career working as a surgeon. The Caldwell family has a long tradition at Centre, with five members attending over the years. Charles’ son, Wick, graduated from Centre in 1965. He also had four siblings attend Centre: Eliza Caldwell Hardy, Class of 1932; Virginia Caldwell Payne, Class of 1937; Ann Caldwell Kinnaird, Class of 1943; and Jere Caldwell, Class of 1950. Charles passed away on January 11, 1999.
