Gordon Davidson and the former Gerry Geiger met as students at Centre and graduated in 1949 and 1948, respectively. Gordon received his undergraduate degree in history, a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 1951, and an LLM in Law from Yale University in 1952 and has had a very successful career as managing partner at one of the largest law firms in Louisville, Kentucky. He has served on his reunion committee, as a member of the alumni association board of directors, as a Brown Scholar Shadow, and he is a trustee emeritus. He received the Louisville Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1974 and the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2001.
Gerry received her undergraduate degree in music and later went on to work as a financial officer. She has served on her reunion committee, has been active in the activities of the Board of Trustees, and was heavily involved in the Louisville-area Alumni Association.
The Davidson’s son, Stuart, is a member of the Centre Class of 1986.
The Gordon B. and Geraldine G. Davidson Fund, established by the Bellsouth Corporation in their honor, is awarded to full-time students at Centre who have been accepted to attend a Centre residential foreign study program, who have paid their deposit, and who have financial need.
