Joanne Kirk Duncan

Joanne graduated from Centre in 1971 with a degree in English and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky in 1974. She serves as President of Inez Deposit Bank. Joanne has been a loyal alumna of Centre, serving on the Board of Trustees, participating in the admission match program, volunteering for her reunion committee, and serving on the Alumni Board of Directors.

Mike attended Cumberland College and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky in 1974. He is the Chairman & CEO of Inez Deposit Bank and Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
In 1995, Joanne and Mike established the Kirk Teaching Award in honor of Joanne’s mother, Peggy Ward Kirk. The Kirk Teaching Award is presented each year to Centre professors demonstrating excellence in teaching.

Their son, Rob, graduated from Centre in 2000.
