Joyce Kagin McCauley


Joyce graduated from Centre in 1950 with a degree in English. She has acted as director of Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, as well as interim managing director of the Norton Center for the Arts. Joyce has served Centre as a member of the Board of Trustees, a director for the Alumni Association, a class agent, and as a member of her reunion committee. In 1972, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award. Joyce established the J. Kagin-McCauley Scholarship, which is awarded to needy Kentuckians with preference for residents of Franklin, Boyle or Woodford counties. Joyce’s husband, Gentry, passed away on February 17, 2010. Her father, Carl Kagin, graduated from Centre in 1924.
