Jane L. Stevenson

Jane graduated from Centre in 1953 and went on to earn her master’s degree from Indiana University. A longtime guidance counselor at Daviess County High School, Jane is responsible for helping Centre recruit dozens of students from the Owensboro, Kentucky area. In addition to her recruitment efforts, Jane has also served on her reunion committee, represented Centre at numerous college presidential inaugurations, volunteered as a class agent, and served as president of the alumni association. Jane received the Distinguished Alumna Award in 1980 and was named Associate of the Year in 2005. She is a member of the Board of Trustees. Along with other members of her family, Jane helped establish the Stevenson Family Scholarship, which is awarded to full-time students at Centre who are residents of Daviess County, Kentucky or to residents of Kentucky, if no residents of Daviess County are available.
