Josh Jerome ’15 and Rebecca Kelly ’15 to address annual honors convo
Josh Jerome ‘15 (top, right) and Rebecca Kelly ‘15 (bottom, right) will be the keynote speakers at the upcoming honors convocation on Tuesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in Newlin Hall of the Norton Center for the Arts.
Remarks from the speakers, who are selected by tallying votes from the senior class, are always a highlight of the annual celebration of student achievements.
The program will also include the announcement of major campus prize recipients as well as the recipients of program prizes and inductees to academic honorary societies.
Jerome, a dramatic arts and politics double major from Boston, Mass., is a Posse Scholar and is the outgoing Vice President of Events for Centre Players. During his time at Centre, Jerome was the VP of Centre Democrats, served as a representative and later a chair in the Student Government Association, and was active in the College’s theater program. He studied abroad in London, England during the spring of his junior year. Jerome’s postgraduate plans are still under consideration, but his passion is to pursue acting.
Kelly, a Spanish major originally from Lexington, Ky., is a curriculum specialist for Centre’s After School Program, a member of Alpha Delta Pi and a student teacher of Spanish at Boyle County Middle School. Kelly studied abroad multiple times during her four years at Centre. She spent her 2012 Centre Term in Ghana, her 2014 spring semester in Mexico, summer of 2014 in Costa Rica and Centre Term 2015 in Mexico. Kelly plans to pursue a career in Spanish education.
Students attending will receive double convo credit. The event is one of four remaining convos in the spring term.
