The International Studies Major

International Studies
Centre’s International Studies major is the most interdisciplinary major at the college, with courses from government, economics, history, language, religion, sociology, and anthropology, among others.
Students learn to think across traditional disciplinary boundaries (essential if you want to play an active role in shaping global relations). They gain insight into the processes and institutions that shape global activities. And they develop the tools necessary to study ongoing events in this complex and rapidly changing world.
This major allows you to develop an emphasis in a particular regional or functional area, but within the larger context of international relations. For example, you might concentrate in African studies or developmental studies, or work with a member of the program.
