Better than high school

Two weeks. Only two weeks left until I can say I successfully completely my first term of college. Only two weeks left until I no longer have to worry about classes (and by no longer, I mean three weeks). It's almost within reach, but the only thing standing in my way is everyone’s favorite time of year…finals.

Despite the whole finals dilemma, I’m getting pretty excited for the end of this year. Now that Thanksgiving has ended, Christmas is beginning to take over. Decorations are beginning to go up, Christmas music is beginning to play everywhere, and it's beginning to turn cold. And let’s be honest, with all of this talk of the holidays, my focus on school is slowly dying before the term actually ends. It’s no secret—it happens to everyone.

At the same time, I'm getting excited for what the rest of college has to bring. Now that I’m past most of the orientation/getting-situated part of college, I’m ready to get moving with the rest of it. The more I think about it, the more I see why college is better than high school over all. So, here are:

10 Reasons Why College (especially Centre) is Better Than High School

1.     Shorter terms.

2.     Longer breaks.

3.     No homework over the breaks.

4.     New classes more often. Keeps things interesting.

5.     More flexibility with classes.

6.     You're not in classes for 7 hours straight.

7.     More freedom, which is a given.

8.     Make decisions on your own.

9.     Meet people from all over the place.

10.  Study abroad.
