Several changes

After six months of college, I have started to notice a slight change in myself. There are probably more changes that I haven’t realized yet, but here are a few that I have noticed:

1. I have better time management. Now there’s a shocker for the people at home! Due to my new planner and a decrease in procrastination, I’ve recently said “Goodbye!” to late nights with homework.

2. I'm more open to trying new things. I've learned that you can’t write off anything without trying it first. Whether it’s food in the dining hall or a class that you think will be boring and/or hard, you don’t know what it’s like until you try it.

3. I like math—repeat—I like math. I've never disliked math before, but when I came to Centre, I was pleasantly surprised that math and I get along quite well. I've had this same revelation with several other subjects including Spanish.

4. I appreciate everything and everybody in my life more. Being so far away from my home has given me a greater appreciation for all of my friends and family.

5. I'm learning how to take care of myself. Whether it’s knowing what to do when I'm sick or handling a sticky situation, I'm much more independent.

These are only several changes, and I can’t wait to discover more.
