Two homes now

I arrived back in San Diego a week ago, and everything is...well...right where I left it. My cats remember me, the Mexican food is wonderful, and I picked up right where I left off with my friends. The only change seems to be that my room (thanks to a practical joke played by my sister) is now covered in posters of Justin Bieber and Taylor Lautner.

Being away from home has really made me appreciate what I have in San Diego. My new-found appreciation of home has caused me to fill my summer with tons of activities such as sailing, working at the San Diego Zoo, attending Padres games, going to the beach, eating lots and lots of Mexican food, and spending time with family & friends.

But being away from Kentucky has had a similar effect on me. I'm now also starting to appreciate and miss what I have at Centre. This includes:

  • my friends
  • Alpha Delta Pi
  • my classes (yes, I do kinda miss them)
  • close access to the gym
  • the beautiful green lawns
  • walking across campus to meet up with a friend
(instead of having to drive across town)

Even though it’s cheesy, and even though so many people have said it already, I really have to say that I have two homes now—one in San Diego, and another at Centre College.
