Netherlands sky

My freshman year is over. Looking back on it, it seems that the whole year lasted just for a month. Time flies when you're having fun. It's been a year with a lot of new experiences and friends. It had its ups and downs, but in general it was an awesome year. Being back home makes the whole year seem unreal somehow. I just looked at Centre's website and although I've seen everything in real life, all the photos look like they're from a different world.

It's good to be back home for a while. It's always nice to see family and friends. However, I already miss Centre. I miss the fact that there's always someone in the Campus Center who wants to do something fun. I miss late night tennis and Taco Bell runs. I miss crazy Saturday nights. I miss reading the New York Times at breakfast. I miss the Kentucky sky. I sometimes even miss the stress that Centre's schoolwork can create. But I'll probably miss all my American friends the most.

For the next three months I'll be working full-time. On the weekends, I'll hang out with my friends here in the Netherlands. I'll be cycling, looking up at a gray sky and realizing that I'm back in Europe, because that's one thing that's always hard to get used to—a different sky. Under this different sky, I'll prepare myself for the coming year full of awesomeness. Already, I can't wait to start my second year at Centre College.
