My name is Clayton, and my brown dog's name is Anna. Once I had a dream in which our two golden retrievers were standing on the wooden floor of our home and one of them looked at me and said, in perfect English, "The brown dogs are on the brown floor."  It was poetry.

Poetry is something I enjoy, along with my sisters and parents. My father is a doctor of philosophy who teaches at the community college and misses the days when he went to Grateful Dead concerts. My mom is chief registrar at the same college. My sisters are beautiful and they take good care of me. My girlfriend is way too attractive to talk to me, but I'm really glad she does.

I would like to describe myself this way: I really love the movie "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou." It's that new Bill Murray movie and everyone told me it was awful, and they were mistaken. In the movie, Steve Zissou is looking for this huge shark that ate his best friend. At one point in the movie he says, referring to the shark, "I wonder if it remembers me." I cried both times I saw that scene; it's something about how he says it. Anyhow, watch that movie.

I'm really excited about college, and doing this Web-journal. I hope people read it and think, "Man, that guy's alright."
