Hi, I’m Taylor from Charlottesville, Virginia. I feel really weird writing this sort of get-to-know you stuff, but here goes. I live with my parents and two younger brothers: Carter, who’s 17, and Vance, who’s 12 (everybody calls Vance “pooch”—weird nickname I know, and no, I have no idea how it started). I was born in Charlottesville, and have lived here my entire life. I moved once over the amazing distance of 3 blocks, to a bigger, but really old house (seriously, the back porch fell off like three weeks after we moved in). I have two cats, Jefferson and Madison, both named after Presidents from Virginia. (I also used to have a cat named Monroe, but he died. Don’t be that sad, I wanted a dog.) I heard about Centre because my family has big ties to it. Actually, I’ll be the sixth person from my family to go there, which makes my grandfather so excited that he almost wets himself every time he talks about it. I love to play sports, every sport you could imagine. I’m not the most athletic guy in the world, but I’ve got heart like you wouldn’t believe (or so I like to tell myself). In high school I played football, basketball, and soccer. I’ll be playing football at Centre, plus I made a deal with one of my friends who’s going to UVA (University of Virgina—I’m sorry if I insult your intelligence by spelling this out, but you know, a lot of people might not know if they’re not from Virginia) that if he walks on to the basketball team there, I’ll walk on to the basketball team at Centre. But don’t worry, it’ll never happen. He’s chicken. Ok, so this is it for now. I hope you got to know me a little better through these disjointed ramblings. Go Colonels! Sorry, I know that was corny, but I had to do it. |
