CentreTerm is AMAZING

Let me just start off by saying that CentreTerm is AMAZING so far. Seriously, I'm obsessed. You go to only one class a day, the teachers are really cool and relaxed, and there is a very small amount of homework.

My class, World Labor Markets (aka economics) has more work than some, and less work than others. We have a midterm and a final, and a couple of papers, but there are people doing a lot less and a lot more. Everyone has a lot of freedom during CentreTerm. Not only is there more time to do what you want, but you get to pick a class that you enjoy, and that the professors especially enjoy teaching. Plus, it's only three hours of class a day.

The teachers aren't required to follow guides about what they're teaching, so they just start with a general theme go on whatever the class brings up about the topic.

Some people have some really awesome CentreTerm classes. There's a group going to Puerto Rico for a week, and one going to D.C.

My class was my third pick, and I wasn't expecting to be that crazy about it, but it turned out to be really cool! There's so much hype around CentreTerm and I'm glad to see that it's living up to all of my expectations. There's plenty to do at night, plenty to learn during the day, and of course, plenty of time for an afternoon nap.

My Christmas break was amazing too. Seeing everyone was great, but it didn't seem like we were really out of school for almost a month. It was such a relief to get to go home after finals...which I can't believe I actually made through alive. I got some ski boots and some ski pants for Christmas so I really want to go skiing for CentreTerm break (a week-long break at the end of January). I don't know if it's going to work out, but I like to dream.

Something else to look forward to is coming up soon: RUSH! I'm so excited for it. Rush week starts after we get back from our break at the end of January. Apparently it's a hectic and crazy week but it's a lot of fun and definitely worth the time if you're into that kind of thing.

I'm pretty sure that this month can get nothing but better, and I can't wait to see what the rest of CentreTerm has in store!
