What’s uuup. My name is Annie and grew up in South Carolina, the most awesome state in America in my opinion. I was born in Tampa, Florida, and then moved to a tiny town in North Carolina with no McDonald's and one gas station. My second grade class had four people in it, and in my third grade class, everyone was related to everyone else. My parents decided that maybe we should move somewhere bigger, and my dad had grown up in Greenville (where I live now), so they decided that was the place. Greenville has been a great place to grow up. It’s small enough so that you know a lot of people, but it’s also big enough to have more than one McDonald's.

I’m an only child, which has been good and bad. When I was little my mom asked me if I wanted a little brother or sister, and I told her, in no uncertain terms, that I absolutely did NOT want anyone else younger than me around the house. I did ask for an older brother but they explained to me that that wasn’t really possible.

My high school years were great. I had a group of five awesome girlfriends. We called ourselves the "Freak Nasties," and I really have no idea where that name came from or what it means. I have some really close guy friends that I miss a lot too. Most of them play football, and they’ve worked really hard to make the team good this year, because it’s usually terrible.

My high school is really tight-knit, so everyone is friends with everyone else and the teachers really know their students. I had some wonderful teachers in high school, and I fully intend on going back and playing with them, as well as my fellow schoolmates. I miss high school a lot, but this prospect of college is so exciting, I can’t wait to see what will happen next.

My favorite sport is college football. I love going to games and screaming at the top of my lungs; so I can’t wait to paint up and go to the Centre games.

To keep in reasonably good shape, I run occasionally and do lots of yoga. I love to write because it’s a great way for me to vent, and it’s something that I’m pretty good at. I’m absolutely horrible at math, as any of my high school teachers will tell you. I’m really interested in the environment, so I’m thinking about double majoring in Environmental Science and English...but I don’t know yet. I have a while to figure that out!

Another thing I love is food, especially pasta. My dad likes to tell me that I’m going to be a 600 pound diabetic if I don’t stop eating so much.

I’m so excited about these next four years. I want to work as hard as I can and learn as much as I can, all while having the time of my life. Centre seems like the best place for me to do that, and that’s why I chose it! The classes are small, the teachers are intelligent and interested, and the campus is beautiful! I’m all about the work hard, party hard philosophy of life.

So, I think you pretty much know me now...it’s going to be a fun year!
