I feel like I’m at home OK, so it's definitely nice to not have mom and dad constantly walking by yelling “LET YOUR BROTHER ON THE COMPUTER!” every five minutes. And I guess the “no curfew” part isn't too shabby either. In all honesty though I do miss the little things. The LARGE shower, my nice comfortable bed, and my dad's chocolate-chip pancakes. I guess it really is the little things that count, huh? The little things like, oh say, deciding where to go to college. No big deal?! I chose Centre because it's a unique environment complimented by unique people. (Perhaps “characters” would be the choice word). The teachers can be quirky. At a pre-med society meeting, I apparently said the word “like” way too much when asking a question and was quickly corrected. Then there's the professor who never stops smiling, among others. But, I feel like I'm at home amongst these characters. I'm truly starting to understand why my sister said I should feel lucky to be taught by many of Centre's faculty, as I've already started to realize how specialized every person is in his/her own field. The teachers here are AWESOME. They want you to succeed and really do care about your life. So far the only part I'm bummed about was that my lab was cancelled for the first week.
