The notion of finals is...
Two turkeys, mashed potatoes, ham, hashbrown casserole, broccoli casserole, stuffing, fruit salad, homemade macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, pretzel salad, green beans, and 20 pounds later, I'm back at Centre after Thanksgiving Break.
It was so great to see my family and to tell them how things are going. It was a much-needed break from the rigors of college. I was able to sit down and eat with the people I care about the most.
Family gatherings are always eventful and always enjoyable. Every year we all participate in a secret Santa amongst our families and somehow everyone always ends up knowing who has whom. But, it's tradition! My dad always cracks us up with embellished stories that he swears are told verbatim. Nonetheless, Thanksgiving was awesome.
Being back at Centre isn't bad. I really do love it here and could definitely not see myself at any other college. However, the notion of finals is very unnerving. I have no idea what to expect.
Exemptions were nice in high school, but not having to take them for the last year and a half has really put me at a disadvantage, I think. Are my finals REALLY comprehensive? Are they REALLY a substantial part of my grade? Can finals destroy my GPA? Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm pretty anxious, but am also feeling very prepared, even before intense studying. I know that I've learned a lot, and I know I was taught material rather than just read to. Things will be great!
I can't wait for Christmas Break and MY CENTRETERM TRIP TO PUERTO RICO!
