Spring breakin'
I just got back from spring break last week, and let me say that it was very good. I had so much fun. It made me wish I could spring break forever instead of working. I went home and did nothing.
Well, I did get a good bit of relaxing done, which was desperately needed. Not necessarily what someone would envision the collegiate spring break to be, but I really enjoyed it. I hadn't seen my family since New Year's Day. I also got to stay home alone, since my family's spring break was the week before, and they were visiting colleges with my brother, Brad.
Spring break was a time to recharge my batteries for school. When I got back I was really motivated to work and study hard—hopefully that will get me through at least three midterms and finals before I hit empty again.
I also realized when I got back to school that this term is halfway over. That's strange, because after this semester is over I can't do stupid things and blame it on my ignorance as a freshman.
Since the term is halfway over, I have to learn everything else there's to learn in my classes in six weeks...that's crazy. I've already done so much and now I have to learn at least as much as I learned in the first half and take finals...crazy. At least I like my classes or I think I would go crazy.
This past weekend I hosted a prospective student (P.S.) for the night. It was really fun and he was really cool, but it really made me think. Just one year ago I was in his position: visiting colleges and trying to decide where to go. It doesn't seem that far away, and I bet next semester when I move back in, I'll be just as surprised to find that an entire year has passed since my freshman year.
