Hi! I’m Morgan and it’s nice to meet you. I’m excited that you’ve decided (by accident from random clicking or on purpose) to check out My CENTRE Life. If you want to stick around, I’m ready to tell you about my freshman year at Centre. Before I get started, though, I think it would only be fitting to tell you a little bit about who I am. I’m from Louisville, Kentucky. I graduated from Ballard High School where I played basketball and lacrosse, which I plan to continue at Centre. I attended The River, A Christ Centered Community , a non-denominational Christian church. Like any other high schooler, I enjoyed hanging out with friends, attending sporting events, and sleeping in on the weekends. Although I don’t watch much TV, I flip to Numb3rs, America’s Next Top Model, and What Not to Wear (Clinton and Stacy are my heroes!). I enjoy watching movies with friends and some of my absolute favorites include Ocean’s Eleven, Finding Nemo, Air Force One, and James Bond movies. (Sean Connery was the best 007!). A lot of who I am (as good or as bad as it may be) comes from my family. My parents taught me to strive to do my best whether in the classroom or on the court, a lesson that will be valuable at Centre. My stubbornness and argumentative side comes from Dad, while moments of compassion are encouraged by Mom. My little sister, Jayme, inspires me to sing and dance, even if people are watching. College will be time for me to develop into my own person, but that will be guided by the morals instilled by friends and family over the last 18 years. Centre College...ready or not, here I come!
