It's not that hard to juggle Now that we're into the full swing of things here, I've discovered so much more about Centre and myself. I've begun to refer to Centre as home, as I did just yesterday in a conversation with my parents. I truly believe that though—Centre is where I want to be and going home feels more like vacation.
I've had some great times over the past few weeks, especially over Homecoming weekend. We played a great football game against Trinity for homecoming, and then I went to Keeneland with the Phi Delt homecoming. This was by far one the best days I've had here at Centre. Hopefully some of you out there have a chance to do this at least once in your life. Homecoming weekend was incredible as well, because so many alumni returned here to Centre. They showed me that their times at Centre were very memorable for them and I hope to feel the same way when I head out into the world.
As for the most important side of college, my classes are going well. The workload really isn't that bad, and I've a good bit of extracurricular activities with football and all the clubs. As long as you manage your time and get done what really needs to get done, it's not that hard to "juggle" all the aspects of college life.
This past weekend was Halloween, so naturally college students like my friends and I got some costumes and went out for a good time. I went as Braveheart along with Brian Sneed—we looked pretty good in those kilts. Days like Halloween tend to show the creativity of some people in how interesting some costumes look. For example, my roommate and a few other guys went as women for Halloween, with Wonder Woman shirts and white skirts.
As always, I'm enjoying every aspect of college life here at Centre; it's been an awesome environment to learn and socialize.
