Thanksgiving is one good holiday I just got back to Centre from Thanksgiving break and life is good. I got home a day earlier than my parents expected and gave them a pleasant surprise. In fact, my dad thought I was an intruder when I came busting through the door and almost shoved me out!
The rest of the break was very relaxing. I spent a lot of time with my parents and friends just catching up on everything that's been going on for the past couple of months. I played a little backyard football with some of my old teammates, and I had a great time, especially since I've stayed in shape and some of them evidently haven't. I also went to go see the new James Bond movie with some friends and I think that is one good movie.
For Thanksgiving, our family had two other families over for dinner. There were about 10 people over and enough food for about 20! Regardless, we had a great time, with some great food and finished the night with a game of Trivia Pursuit. Now in the Dougherty household, this game goes down every year and has become a very heated tradition. The teams always end up being guys v. girls and the guys team always wins (not really). There's always a controversial situation at some point as the game usually rolls into the wee hours of the night. In the end, we're all always stuffed and give thanks that another Thanksgiving has come and gone. I must say, with all that good food, Thanksgiving is one good holiday!
This is the last week of classes and then come my first round of college finals. I'm a pretty stress-free guy, so I'll probably put off studying until this weekend and then really get on it. I'm probably dreading my Bio 110 final the most because that has been my toughest class this semester. We'll just see how this semester ends and we'll catch up in CentreTerm.
