Freedom and responsibility

Hey, welcome back to My CENTRE Life. It's hard to imagine how anyone could not enjoy their time here at Centre, because I absolutely love it. This spring term is shaping up to be even better than fall term, which is hard to imagine. I'm about a week and two exams away from Spring Break 2007 in Panama City, and that'll just be the beginning. After that, this term has the Kentucky Derby, Keeneland, and other big events around Centre and Kentucky to attend. I can't wait!

I'm now in the heat of spring term, and have already had several tests in my classes, and a few projects I'll need to be working on. As always, I'm enjoying all of my classes and that's usually due to the professors I have this term. My history teacher always keeps the usually boring history lectures exciting, which definitely helps the hour move along nicely. We always have a great discussion in my humanities class, whether it's on Dante or classical art, there are always some great points being made. My other two classes are psychology and chemistry, both of which are interesting and always hold my attention. I'm a big science guy, so it's hard to say which one is my favorite.

So far, the life of being a college man has set in and I've enjoyed the freedom and responsibility it takes to live virtually alone. I've grown accustomed to not seeing my high school friends anymore and not seeing my parents but once a month or so. This is tough, but I think I've finally caught a glimpse of what the next stage of my life will be like, and right now it feels bittersweet. I'm going to miss my childhood, but I'm excited about what's to come in my life.

Autobiography
A state of limbo
My classes are great
It's not that hard to juggle
Thanksgiving is one good holiday
Like coming home again
The path I'll take
Freedom and responsibility
No one got in trouble
Changed a little day by day
Back in Georgia
