I'm not in high school anymore

In three weeks I quickly learned that I was no longer in high school. The first thing I learned is that although homework isn't always given, there's something that can always be done including reading and studying. For the first three weeks, professors were really nice to us and took it easy in order to give us an adjustment from high school to college. However, as soon as we got our visitation privileges and the three weeks were over, classes got much harder. I had to write papers that were limited to only one page when there were four or five pages that could be written. I also had five page papers that were due within the same three days. It was so overwhelming.

Monday Night Football was great for the first three weeks, but that disappeared as soon as we began having tests and quizzes on a regular basis. I was just starting to get good at Wii bowling, but now I never have time to play because I'm studying. A lot my friends ask, "Where have you been?" I tell them that I have been in the 'homework cave.' That's all I have time for during the week.

On a more social note, I have met a lot of Christians on this campus. These people also helped me big time because I hadn't been reading my Bible on a regular basis. But now I have people to hold me accountable as well as people I can talk to about it. I am really pleased that I have so many Christian people who share the same views as me. I even performed a couple of songs at a CCF (Centre Christian Fellowship) meeting. It was a great experience.

I also did a show at a youth rally in Burgin, and it was a great experience for me. It was by far our best show because we were feeling the Spirit and the crowd were feeling it with us. It was an amazing feeling, and we even have adults who have been influenced by our music. The Lord is working through my partner and me, and I believe he put me here to spread His message to students here. That's the job I am taking now that I'm here. This is definitely an enlightening experience for me because I have seen the good and the bad of college life.
