Feeling the push

As I write this entry, I have to finish a humanities paper and study for a chemistry quiz. Did I mention there are three days of school left? Here at Centre, school definitely isn't over until it's over! I'll admit, I'm feeling the push right now; I'm tired and ready for summer.

My plans for the summer aren't particularly ambitious, but I think they should be highly rewarding! Due to financial constraints, I'll probably be spending most of my time in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky at my aunt's horse-farm instead of driving back to Orlando. I'm hoping to spend lots of time riding my horse Taz, who I haven't seen in months thanks to the distance and time it takes to drive to Lawrenceburg.

Also, thanks to my aunt's connections in the horse industry, I've got a potential volunteer job at a nearby equine hospital, which would be great experience in preparation for my pre-vet aspirations. Since this is an unpaid position, I'll need to find paid work, too! Best-case scenario, I land a job training horses on my aunt's farm, or as a barn-hand at a nearby stable.

All in all, I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and horse over the coming months. Let's just hope I can survive the next three days!
