20 questions

1) Hometown:
Shelbyville, Kentucky (The OC of Kentucky...yeah right)

2) Family/Pets:
Dad—David Pilkinton (the man who knows the most random information about EVERYTHING), Mom—Florence Pilkinton (a cute Chinese pianist/organist), Sister—Marjorie ('05 graduate of Centre), and last but not least Trudy (the apple of my eye...she's a cute puppy).

3) High School:
Shelby County High School. (We've been on TV for many random events. Please ask, it is quite a story to tell.)

4) Extracurricular activities:
Tennis, Golf, Orchestra (I play the cello), random plays at our community theatre in Shelbyville, dominating in tennis on the Nintendo Wii, and Mario Kart on the classic N64.

5) High school career highlight:
As nerdy as it sounds, being top 10 in my class. That was something that I strived for since freshman year and it was a relief when I was told that I would sit #9 at graduation.

6) Favorite past "My CENTRE Lifer":
Erin (MCL-1) is the one I found most enjoyable to read. She seems like a perfect representative for Centre and she answered any hesitations I had about Centre.

7) The thing you are most looking forward to about Centre:
Definitely the line up for the shows at the Norton Center. They have one of my favorite cellist and musicals coming. I can't wait!

8) Your greatest apprehension about college:
That I don't have the discipline to study. During high school, I could get away with studying for 30 minutes tops. However, at Centre I know that studying for any subject will take at least a couple of hours and I’m not sure if I can train myself to do that and it scares me.

9) The way your parents feel about you moving out:
In the wise words of my mother "Good Riddance!" but we all know deep down inside she'll miss me! Seriously though, I'm the last child in the house so they may like the peace and quiet for awhile but soon enough they will miss my loud mouth.

10) Intended major(s):
History or government

11) If you could bring one performer/group to the Norton Center for the Arts, it would be: Tupac...he's still alive!

12) Worst movie ever:
Hostel...enough said

13) Most memorable trip/vacation:
Senior Spring Break to Destin, FL.

14) Favorite smell:
Is it bad that I like the smell of gasoline?

15) Person you most admire:
It's hard to pick just one person. But if I could group them into one I would definitely choose the "Invisible Children” documentary creators. Thanks to them, they have opened the eyes of many to the ignored country of Uganda.

16) Person (living or dead) you'd most like to meet:
After meeting Andy Roddick this summer I’m not quite sure who else I'd want to meet...but if I have to choose, probably Matthew McConaughey. I can't get over how extremely good looking he is and I love how he's so care-free.

17) If stranded on a deserted island, what would be the one non-survival item you'd want with you?
A loofah. It could get dirty out there.

18) If you had thought of it first, the invention do wish you could have been credited with:
Probably the Post-It note. Those things always come in handy.

19) Describe yourself in a haiku:
Some call me Moe-Ron
Clean, clear and under control
And my love is pure

(Sadly a lot of thought went into this.)

20) Why did you choose Centre?
I would say because it has everything I want compacted into one school. It has a huge Greek life, which I hope to get involved with. It has a great gym that I WILL make myself go to. Lastly, it has the study abroad program that many schools wish they could level up to. I can't wait to explore the many options that Centre has in hold for me.
