Having trouble keeping up

College is becoming a blur! Every day is the same: wake up, take a shower, do homework, go to class, eat lunch, do homework, go to practice, eat dinner, do homework... Although each day isn't THAT hectic, Centre is definitely keeping me on my toes. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the most rigorous days of the week since I have four classes on those days. I get served with full doses of chemistry, French, humanities, and history. It seems like the more I do, the further behind I become—papers, tests, quizzes, reading! My brain is in overload mode! It's not that the work is extremely difficult, there's just a lot of it. Some nights, it feels like even if I had all the time in the world, I couldn't finish all of my homework for each class...but I'm okay with that. It's a challenge, and I'm up for it.

Although I'm having trouble keeping up, I'm happy to say that overall, my classes are wonderful. The professors make the classes in my opinion. Subjects that I despised upon my arrival at Centre (like chemistry and history) are actually becoming enjoyable because of the enthusiasm with which they are taught. It makes me smile when I walk into chemistry at 9:10 a.m. and hear the theme song from Mission: Impossible being hummed by Dr. Fieberg as we work out a problem on the board. Even at that early in the morning (I know it doesn't seem THAT early..but really, it is) that theme song always makes me just want to learn.

As the months keep drifting by, Centre becomes more and more like home. My dorm is quickly becoming my favorite place to be. Nap time is one of the best parts of the day and although I love class, I have to admit sometimes I don't want to go because sleep seems more important—but I always go anyway. You can't miss class here because you won't catch up. Last week was the first time this happened to me. The electricity went off in the middle of the night, and my alarm failed to go off that morning. When I finally crawled out of bed, it was a little too light outside, and I was 55 minutes late for my first class. I felt horrible! Luckily, the professor was very understanding, and the only consequence I suffered was missing that day's notes.

All in all, Centre is great, and just keeps getting better. I love my classes, I love my professors, and I love my friends. I love Centre in general.
