Good things, bad things

Good things about Centre College in the last few weeks of Spring Term = sunshine, basketball on Sunday afternoons, budding trees, Baskin Robbins' Dollar Scoop Night, good parties, eating outside of Cowan, doing homework outside, end of track, knowing that summer is near

Bad things about Centre College in the last few weeks of Spring Term = lots of papers, lots of tests, projects, finals, saying goodbyes to seniors, knowing you won't see your friends all summer, stressing out, no sleep

There are three and a half weeks of classes left here at Centre, and time can't go by fast enough. I say that now, but when the end gets here, I'm sure I'm going to wish it hadn't. But that's still awhile away. I have a lot of other stuff to worry about before then. This would include two papers to write, a project to complete, and three tests to study for. I have to sign up for classes and then go to Room Draw. (That's where all Centre students draw numbers to decide in which order they will get to choose their rooms for the coming year.) All of this is in the next week.

I'd love to say that I have a sufficient amount of time to do all of this, but I don't know if I do. Track consumes most of my time, like cross country did. I guess that's the downside to playing a sport at Centre...it never seems like you have enough time to do anything. But track will be over soon, and that'll give me time to relax—or rather stress out over my finals—during the last week of school.

Second term has been a lot better than the first. I've learned to manage my time, and fit in all I want to do while still getting my work done. I'm still not as efficient as I should be...but I feel like if I was, I might not have as much fun, and I don't think I'm ready to sacrifice that.

Papers are calling my name. So is the sunshine.

Until next time.
