More than 100 Centre athletes named to 2010 SCAC
Academic Honor Roll

The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor roll for the 2010 spring term, and 1,090 student-athletes made the list. Since its inception in the fall of 1997, just over 16,600 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.
A student-athlete qualifies for the honor roll if he or she maintains a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and is a regular member of a varsity athletic team in sports that is sponsored by the conference.
For Centre, women’s track and field led the way with 18 members making the list. The women’s swimming and diving team came in second with 16, while the men’s track and field team followed in third place with 14. Baseball, women’s basketball, and women’s golf each had seven student-athletes make the list. Women’s tennis, softball, and men’s swimming and diving had six members make the list. Men’s basketball, men’s golf, and men’s tennis each had five student-athletes make the list.
