Junior Day for prospective students held Sunday, March 6

The spring’s first Junior Day will be held on Sunday, March 6. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
Registration on the day of the event begins at noon in the grand foyer of the College’s Norton Center for the Arts (above).
High school juniors wishing to learn more about Centre College are invited to campus for the spring’s first Junior Day on Sunday, March 6. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
“Junior Day offers high school students the chance to kick start their college search, gaining both a glimpse into the Centre experience as well as useful general information on the admission process itself,” says admission counselor Natalie Frost. “We’re always excited to host juniors who are beginning to take steps toward their college education!”
In addition, Junior Days are beneficial in that they allow students to tour Centre’s campus and meet faculty, admission staff and current students in a short amount of time.
“It’s also a great chance for prospective students to make contact with their admission counselors, the main contacts who will guide them through the entire admission process in the months ahead,” Frost says.
Registration on the day of the event begins at noon in the grand foyer of the College’s Norton Center for the Arts. While there, students and their families have the opportunity to pick up an optional ticket for lunch in Centre’s dining hall.
At 1 p.m., Centre President John Roush and Bob Nesmith, Dean of Admission and Student Financial Planning, will offer a brief welcome and introduction to Centre College in Newlin Hall (located inside the Norton Center for the Arts).
Following the welcoming comments, campus tours will be held, allowing visitors to discover more about Centre and its facilities.
A reception will be held at 3 p.m. in the Norton Center for the Arts. During this time, prospective students will enjoy refreshments as they gather information about majors and meet members of the Centre community.
At 3:30 p.m. inside Newlin Hall, the admission staff will lead a brief presentation full of insider information on the admission process.
