Admissions open houses to be held July 15 and 29
July 7, 2011 By Elizabeth Trollinger
Centre will hold two open house events in July. These events allow students to take campus tours (above), meet the admission staff,
professors and coaches, ask questions and interact with other
prospective students.
Visiting Centre is the best way for prospective students to discoverwhether the College is right for them.
No matter the season, Centre’s campus is constantly bustling–and this summer is no exception. For prospective students and their families, Centre is hosting two admission open house events this month. The first is scheduled for Friday, July 15; the second will be held on Friday, July 29.
These Summer Visit events are intended for students looking to make a head start in their college application process – particularly rising seniors. Visiting Centre during the summer is advantageous in many ways.
During the summer open houses, students are greeted with welcoming comments, attend a panel discussion with Centre faculty and students as well as “Admission 101”–a discussion on everything having to do with the admission process–and enjoy a lemonade reception at which they can get to know current Centre students, faculty and staff.
Prospective students can also always schedule visits to Centre outside of these July Summer Visit days. These appointments are tailored to each student’s own personal interests, allowing them to decide whether they’d like to take campus tours, meet with admission counselors or even meet with faculty members and coaches.
Admission counselors and Centre students agree that open houses are a fun and easy way to get a real understanding of what life is like at Centre — and there is no better way to get to know a school than by visiting it in person.
Registration for each July open house will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event, and each will conclude with a lemonade reception at 12:30 p.m.
