He has a B.A. in business administration and environmental science from North Carolina Wesleyan College.
“I’ve been here, off and on, over the past year as an interim general manager and have always been greeted warmly by the leadership and all of the faculty and staff at Centre,” Nagorka says. “We have a great dining service team here that wants to be very successful, and I look forward to leading that team.”
Nagorka will oversee the management of all the dining service options available at Centre, which include Cowan Dining Commons and The Everyday Café in the Campus Center and The Hall of Fame Café located on the second floor of the Sutcliffe Hall athletic and recreation facility.
Says Randy Hays, vice president and dean of student life: “We’re excited to have Mike join our team. His leadership here on an interim basis has been excellent, and I look forward to watching his plans become reality as he assumes the mantle of general manager. Mike’s enthusiasm and ideas for programming and involving our students will serve him well in this highly residential campus environment.”
In addition to being open to students, faculty and staff members, Centre’s dining options are enjoyed by many members of the larger Danville-Boyle County community, affording students the opportunity to mix and mingle with a variety of individuals and families.
