Sixth annual RICE Symposium to be held April 11-12
April 4, 2013 By Elizabeth Trollinger
The sixth annual Research, Internships and Creative Endeavors (RICE) Symposium will be held April 11-12 at Centre College.
The RICE Symposium allows students to share their work with others in the Centre community in the spirit of engagement and experiential learning. The Symposium has grown every year, with more and more students interested in showcasing their academic endeavors.
Over 140 presentations will be made at the RICE Symposium this year, including 79 oral presentations, 44 poster presentations, 18 artistic exhibitions and one musical performance. Students will discuss topics from every discipline. The 2013 John C. Young Scholars will also present about their year-long research projects.
To be sure everyone can attend the presentations on Thursday, April 11, Centre will have a truncated class schedule that day. The RICE Symposium is sponsored by the Office of the Dean and by all academic programs.
