Meetings/Gatherings
Breakfast before finals! The Centre Parents Association will be serving breakfast every morning of finals at 7:45 a.m. in Olin and Young Halls. Good luck on your finals and have a great summer!
Pick up your cap and gown at the Bookstore May 19-21 by 5 p.m. Fees/fines were due to be paid by Monday, May 16. Graduating seniors who have outstanding debts or those who paid after May 16 must see Judy Bowell in the Finance Office and make payment arrangements. She will have your cap and gown. Also, graduating seniors must return any rental books to the Bookstore before they will be able to pick up their cap and gown. Your cap and gown are keepsakes, so you don’t need to return them.

Thursday, May 19. Parsons Open House. Graduating seniors are invited to an Open House at Parsons Student Health Center from 1 to 3 p.m. Come pick up immunization records, get an “App for After the Bubble,” and have some refreshments with Parsons staff. It has been our pleasure to serve you for the past four years!

August 10: Off-campus decisions finalized. Off campus housing applications are still available in the Student Life Office.

September 23 and 24. Family Weekend. We will be offering “Academic Samplers” again during Family Weekend. We appreciate faculty members who have made presentations in the past. The lectures are about an hour long on any topic that interests you and provide a nice opportunity for our parents to get to meet and hear our faculty. If you are interested, please email mona.wyatt@centre.edu. We would need a three-sentence description and title for the class you want to teach. A $50 gift card to the place of your choice is your reward!

SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church will open the Catholic Center as an alternative study space available to students during final exams. The Center will be open 24 hours beginning at 6 p.m. and will remain open until noon on Wednesday, May 18. Wireless connectivity and refreshments are available.
Lost/Found. A pair of glasses were found in the hall of Old Carnegie on Tuesday, April 26. The owner should see Sherri Gowins in Career Services to claim.
Lost and Found Items at the library: Clothing, books, keyrings, and various items to be claimed before the end of the year.

Relay-4-Life and Pampered Chef are teaming up to HELP WHIP CANCER! Help Whip Cancer PINK products are available May 1-31. For each PINK item purchased, The Pampered Chef contributes $1 to the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer awareness and early detection programs AND 25% of sales will go to the Relay-4-Life. If you would like to purchase an item, call 5466 or email meredith.sizemore@centre.edu.

Choral Basics, a four-session course on singing technique and improving skills in rhythm, diction, and reading music, will take place on four evenings in late May and June. This course is geared to ages 15 and up. Please contact Barbara Hall for more information.

Looking for a quiet place to study during finals? Trinity Episcopal Church, the church with the red doors, (located across the street from the courthouse on West Main Street), will be open as a place for Centre students to study from 3 until 11 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 17. There are multiple study areas, all with Wi-Fi access.
